I came across Alex and DP saddlery quite a while ago and was very impressed by what I saw at a saddle fitting demo. At first I was put off by the price, but actually the lifetime savings of having a saddle that can be adjusted as your horse changes shape, and that can be used on more than one horse really adds up, so I started saving. The cost of an ill fitting saddle to the horse is far greater, especially if you end up with a grumpy horse needing vets for lameness, then physio etc. These saddles sell themselves as the horses show their appreciation. Alex is really helpful. The after sales care is excellent. Alex will not push you into buying something you don’t want. She is not trying to sell saddles for inflated profit, she is trying to help horses and she will take the time to talk you through all the options to make the best possible choice for you and your horse’s comfort. I am very happy to recommend these to anybody who wants to do the right thing for their horse. The only hard bit is choosing the design, colour and style that you prefer as there is so much choice. I was so pleased with my first saddle that I have now ordered a second.
